The program thing is very annoying - it was one of the reasons I so delighted in having a PC a few years ago - but lately I've found that it's not such a problem, as more and more programmers are either making the updated versions Mac/PC compatible or even creating a Mac version of the program. I mean, unpacking software, music, video, imaging, internet, film, word processing; I've found Mac versions of all of those, and can't really think of any other programs one would really need.
that's good to hear! will keep it in mind as I gear up for a new computer.
