vanitashazeI needed a break from Molly-angst, and seriously, this was too good to pass up. I will have to do more of these. Such is genius logic: 100 words, good to go. Short!fics are love.

Some days he thinks he could have been Superman, before. Because the Clark Kent existence he's been shut into is just so fucking benign and wouldn't that be ironic? The watchmaker's son becomes a watchmaker becomes the man of steel. Maybe he could fly and rescued people out of burning buildings. Maybe he used his super strength to fight evildoers.
"Maybe I was a hero."
Hours later, a hospital visitor, both familiar and not. Then a hand over his eyes. Blocking out light... blocking out everything.
Dark eyes, dark skin, and a man called Gabriel thinks of nothing in particular.
