Wow! My flist was right in reccing this. I think the last sentence perfectly captures the theme of the story: how Rodney is both creation and destruction and transformation at the same time. I love the flitting in and out of memory, the struggle to remember, the fleeting triumph when there is recall, and the ebb and flow of loss.
