Saw Milk. Whoever played Cleve Jones was fantastic, simply made of awesome, and "Mrs. Milk" (James Franco?) was actually quite decent, though I admit I laughed the first time I saw his hair, because all I could think was "Spiderman! Harvey Milk is Spiderman!" Which, you know, no.
Speaking of Harvey, I didn't expect there to be that much depth to him - the not always the white knight morality - simply because many icons don't, but I left pleasantly surprised, and certainly thoughtful, and yes, mostly silent. I am sad to report that - unlike the experiences of many of those on my f-list - my theatre did not clap at the end, but perhaps that was because there were, what, twenty people in the room? (It was the 3:45 matinee.) The audience consisted of mostly couples and senior citizens; I was the only female in the room.
It was highly amusing at the time.
