I was really really REALLY REALLY happy when they'd managed to create a universe with literal angels and demons in it, where that didn't automatically prove ALL RELIGION IS TRUE or X RELIGION IS TRUE, and suddenly it was three times the crisis of faith potential, cos even the supernatural beings didn't have true knowledge. THIS! Except I with they'd made it less Judeo-Christian and more interfaith. Like... well, shit, I can't find it, but somewhere out there is a fic with Kali and Gabriel and shades of religion, the idea that there's more than one God/divine pantheon and they're all true, and made me think many thinky thoughts. A nice antidote to the ethnocentrism of the show.
