This reminds of that SPN ep with the Scarecrow, especially with the mention of his wealthy TOWN (not family) and appearing to run through a list of future victims sadly. Kinda creepy, but John's the kind that might find that sacrifice acceptable for the success of Atlantis and victory over the Wraith. Nicely done!
